Hi Everyone! On December 15, 2008, Monday, Newsbreak will  conduct a training on basic web publishing training for groups involved in efforts to stop human trafficking. The training seeks to facilitate the dissemination of relevant and latest information concerning human trafficking in the country and improve information sharing among partner groups.

It is part of Newsbreak’s Anti-Trafficking in Persons project which is funded by the US Department of State through The Asia Foundation (TAF).

The project is a sequel to an earlier activity which was undertaken in 2007 by Newsbreak with support from TAF and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

Among the components of the present project is an improved website on human trafficking which shall include a blog that is meant to a the forum for anti-human trafficking advocates.

The training will enable partners to learn how to interact using the anti-trafficking website, and to provide updates through the website’s blog.

The training will be held at the PhilDHRRA Partnership Center (Ledesma Room), 59 C. Salvador Street, Loyola Heights, Quezon City.

It is free of charge, but participants are asked to bring a wi-fi enabled laptop.

A second training is planned in early 2009.  For more inquiries, call Cecille, Gemma or Rey at tel. no. +63-2-9200997.
